Terms for business accounts

1. Your account

A company applies for a Protein Chefs for Business account, and Protein Chefs decides whether to approve it. Once approved, the company's main contact (the company admin) can invite coworkers, manage the team, top up credit and see billing. Each person is responsible for keeping their own login private.

2. Prices and deliveries

Each company has its own price per meal, delivery fee, minimum number of meals per delivery and delivery dates, as agreed with Protein Chefs and shown in the account. Amounts are in Canadian dollars. Protein Chefs may update a company's prices with notice; changes don't affect orders that have already closed.

3. Prepaid credit

• Orders are paid from prepaid credit. The company admin adds credit online, starting at $1.00, by credit card or PayPal. Payments are processed by PayPal; Protein Chefs doesn't store card details.
• Credit never expires.
• Credit is not refundable and can't be exchanged for cash or transferred to another company. It can only be used for Protein Chefs for Business meals and delivery for the company that bought it, except where the law requires otherwise.
• The balance never goes below zero.

4. Ordering and charges

• Each person on the team chooses one meal per delivery, until that delivery's ordering cutoff.
• At the cutoff, anyone who hasn't chosen receives the team's most popular meal. If the team is smaller than the company's minimum, the order is completed to the minimum with that meal.
• At the cutoff, the order total (meals plus delivery fee) is charged to the company's credit.
• An order is only confirmed if the credit covers it at the cutoff. If it doesn't, the order is not confirmed, nothing is charged and nothing is delivered. Protein Chefs may, at its discretion, confirm it later once credit is added.

5. Skipping and cancellations

• The company admin can skip a delivery, or undo a skip, until its cutoff. Skipped deliveries aren't charged.
• After the cutoff, orders are being prepared and can't be changed or skipped.
• If Protein Chefs cancels a delivery for any reason, the full amount charged for it is returned to the company's credit. Protein Chefs may also add goodwill credit at its discretion.

6. Allergies and meal notes

Meals are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens. Notes on meals are requests: Protein Chefs does its best to follow them but can't guarantee a meal is free of any ingredient or allergen. People with serious allergies should choose meals accordingly.

7. Closing an account

A company can stop using Protein Chefs for Business at any time by contacting Protein Chefs. Protein Chefs may pause or close an account, for example for non-payment or misuse. Unused credit isn't refunded when an account closes, except where the law requires otherwise.

8. Changes and contact

Protein Chefs may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the account means accepting the update. Questions? Contact the Protein Chefs team.
